I made this “How to Cross Stitch” video as part of an outreach project for the Needle and Thread: Stitching for Literacy program. The project was a clip bookmark for Readergirlz, an oh-so-fun cutting-edge online YA book community.

Until I get around to making a more general how-to-cross-stitch video (don’t hold your breath), I think this one will serve quite well anyone who wants to learn cross stitching and backstitching. Plus, you’ll discover an easy way to finish a cross stitch bookmark.

I am ahuge fan of The Great Courses. They are great for watching or listening while stitching. And they're great in the car, on the mp3 player or iPod while gardening or picking blueberries, etc.
