New Baseball Cross Stitch Patterns

Funk & Weber Designs cross stitch pattern, Play Ball!, baseball bookmark

The new Funk & Weber Designs cross stitch baseball bookmark pattern: Play Ball!

If you attended The Needlework Show over the weekend, you got the first peek at the newest Funk & Weber Designs cross stitch bookmark patterns.

Play Ball!
is brand spanking new!

The National NeedleArts Association sponsors Stitch N’ Pitch℠, a program that organizes needlework events at major- and minor-league baseball games. Stitch N’ Pitch partners with Needle and Thread: Stitching for Literacy, to invite and encourage embroiderers to cross stitch bookmarks at games. So we design baseball bookmarks to support and celebrate baseball, embroidery, Stitch N’ Pitch, and Stitching for Literacy. Got all that?

That doesn’t mean you have to attend a Stitch N’ Pitch event to craft one or a dozen of these bookmarks; you can get the pattern right here and stitch them anywhere anytime.

This pattern can be personalized in a number of ways. Your team colors can be used on the hat and for the players on the field. And if you’re making this bookmark for a lefty, we’ve included a left-handed glove option. (Mike’s left-handed, but this was my idea. ;-)) The pattern suggests more options.

Funk & Weber Designs: Going, Going, Gone! baseball bookmark digital cross stitch pattern

The Going, Going, Gone! baseball bookmark pattern is now available as a digital pattern and a kit.

We have also now released the Going, Going, Gone! baseball bookmark pattern as a digital pattern. Previously, it was only available as a kit. Now you can stitch it on fabric and finish it any way you choose.

Both of these patterns are great grab-and-go projects, small enough to take anywhere, and sturdy enough to not require lugging a hoop or stretcher bars along. They’re great for stitching in the stands, on the beach, in the car, or in front of the TV at home.

If you’d like to present this bookmark along with a book to your favorite young baseball fan, we’ve got a list of baseball-themed books for kids over at Stitching for Literacy.

Now, you know what we need to go with our baseball bookmarks? A hot dog bookmark. What do you think?

Hi, Edie. I’ve seen some cross stitch patterns of trucks, so I believe they are out there, but I’m not sure who designs them. I’ll see what I can find.

    Happy stitching!
