A New Day Dawns

It’s here at last: the new Funk & Weber Designs website. We couldn’t be more excited!

In addition to a new, bright, and clean look (all thanks to Lindsay at Purr Design), we have a structure that better organizes past and future content. For instance, we now have an easy way to access all those tutorials created for The Needlework Nutshell (registration box on the Home page). Or, we will when I get them all uploaded. And we have a blog where I can ramble about anything and everything in Funk & Weber World, where I won’t feel guilty or awkward wandering off-topic.

For all those stitchers who’ve emailed and called asking for patterns they can’t get elsewhere, we now have a way for stitchers to purchase any and every Funk & Weber product, including handmade items for our non-stitching, non-crafting friends. Or, again, we will when I get them all uploaded. Websites are perpetual works in progress, folks. Plus, you know how over-extended, easily distracted, and slow I can be. Blame it on the ADD; I do.

And, of course, we will continue to support real live shops where stitchers can see and touch marvelous materials, get knowledgeable help, and congregate with other stitchers. Even as we transition to downloadable patterns and more online classes, we aim to make them available to interested shops. Long live our indie needlework shops!

It will be easier than ever join us on our stitchy and crafty adventures. We hope you will.

I like how the colours sings. I like the way the background gives a feel of fabric or exclusive paper – I want to tutch (? No spelling awailable) it. I like the edges. But most of all I like the content old, new and upcoming. Good luck to you!

  8. Hi, Lorie. Great to see you here. Yes, that’s Mike’s photo. Natural light, too, no filters.
