The Return of the Sun

It’s early February, but I can see and feel Spring marching toward us.

Fresh snow and below-freezing temperatures mean nothing.

It’s all about the return of the sun.

My first visit to Alaska will be in the summertime 😉 But these pictures are really tempting! I love the view without a lot of houses 😉 Can you drive on the ice this winter? It is many years since people were able to drive a car on the ice in the innermost of the Oslo-fjord. It is still some fishing-on-the-ice-activities.

    Sorry, Harriet, I missed this.

I am always leery of driving on ice. I don’t believe it’s trustworthy. However, lots of people drive on lakes in winter, and, yes, they’re doing it now. Sea ice, not so much, at least, not at this latitude. Further north, perhaps.
